Why BDcomics was down for a bit November 13, 2006
Posted by BDcomics in : Site Stuff ,For the past three days or so, BDcomics was down. It wasn’t not because someone shut us down for doing something a bit illegal, or because we didn’t pay our hosting fees. Apparently, BDcomics and BDgamers uses up a lot of the bandwidth of our hosts (we’re on shared hosting), and when our hosts were facing severe server loads, we were the ones to get temporarily closed down.
So don’t worry, this isn’t anything serious. Still, I’m really sorry for the inconveniences and worries it caused.
We the BDcomics team will keep on giving you tons of cool comics, and we aren’t going to be stopped THAT EASILY!

Posted by admin in : Comics, Site Stuff ,I’m the guy who now hosts Bdcomics, and I am writing here to apologize for the downtime both BDGamers and this site suffered during the last few days.
Apparently, both the sites overloaded the server we are on (Site5) and since I’m on shared hosting, the admins took it upon themselves to suspend me. It turned out my account was using six times the resources usually required for a normal website.
The problem has been resolved and both sites are now back. Thanks for your patience!

Don’t worry; it doesn’t cost anything. I only ask that you give me the gift of answering one of these two questions:
1) If you’re over 19 (no need to specify your exact age ;-), what was the best thing you did when you were 19 or what one thing do you wish you had done (or done differently) when you were 19?
2) If you are 19 or younger, what’s one thing you hope you’ll do or do better when you’re 19?

You guys and BDcomics means a lot to me. I love it how you support me, encourage me, and appreciate what I do. That’s what keeps me going. And I really really appreciate all the work you guys are putting into the site, Jake, Axe and Prahalathan. Thank you, thank you!
