How’s it going?

New Day, New Server May 24, 2007
Posted by admin in : Site Stuff ,As was usual with our previous host, Site5, a spike in traffic would cause our sites to go down. According to Site5, we had “outgrown shared hosting” and needed to move to a “dedicated solution”.
That we have.
Welcome to the new server. BDGamer, BDcomics, as well as other upcoming sites in the network, are now hosted by JaguarPC, using their semi-dedicated package. The sites will now run much faster, more efficiently, and most importantly, will be able to handle traffic spikes much better. No sudden site shutdowns anymore.
If you have visited the above mentioned host’s site, you might have seen that it now costs us $30 per month to keep the site up and running, without counting the man hours put into it. It is not financially viable for us to pay such amounts to keep sites such as BDcomics running. Therefore, we ask you to click on banner ads that you find relevant once in a while, just to cover our hosting costs a bit. We’re looking into alternatives, and it does not involve donations. More details will be announced in the near future… along with a brand new spanking custom design!
For now, enjoy.

Oopsies… Bdcomics was down for a day! January 26, 2007

Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating a bit, but yeah, I personally missed all the great comics, too! Anyways, it was my own fault that the site went down - a Wordpress upgrade gone bad. All problems have been fixed now, and the site is now powered by the greatest and latest Wordpress edition (that’s 2.1 for the uneducated masses).

Happy New Year and Eid Mubarak! January 1, 2007
Posted by admin in : Site Stuff ,Well, 2006 is officially dead and replaced by a new and shinier model - 2007! Happy New Year to those who didn’t get arrested or too drunk to actually celebrate the coming of the new year.
This year is gonna be totally awesome for BDcomics. A new layout is in the works, as well as new advanced features, organization and more. Patience is virtue, so you guys will need to wait for these.
For our Muslim readers: Eid Mubarak! Enjoy.
