Supreme Power is a comic book limited series published under Marvel Comics’ MAX imprint from 2003 to 2005. Written by J. Michael Straczynski and pencilled by Gary Frank, it is eighteen issues in length. It features the rebooted version of the superhero team Squadron Supreme (with the individual members loosely based on the characters from DC Comics’ Justice League)

This version of Hyperion is an alien sent to Earth as a baby, and is raised a secret faction of American scientists in a secret compound. Raised by a pseudo-family, the boy discovers that he has superhuman powers and is manipulated into becoming a weapon for the U.S. government.
Basically, this just fleshes out the character of Mark Milton more, Good read

This version of Nighthawk (Kyle Richmond) is a fictional character and a superhero from an alternate Marvel Comics universe. [1] Hyperion first appeared in Supreme Power #2 (November 2003) and was created by J. Michael Straczynski. The character is also associated with the team Squadron Supreme.

Joseph Ledger is a soldier in the United States Army who accidentally bonds with a crystal found in the vessel that brought Hyperion to Earth. [19] The experience places Ledger in a coma, and after reliving his life in his mind for the benefit of the apparently sentient crystal awakens and adopts the codename of Doctor Spectrum. [20] Operating in a military-style uniform as opposed to a prismatic costume, Doctor Spectrum encounters and battles Hyperion, and later forms a truce with him to hunt down a super-powered serial killer. It is at this time that Doctor Spectrum also begins a tentative romance with fellow superhuman Amphibian. [21] Both eventually join the US-backed Squadron Supreme. [22]

The Squadron Supreme is formed when the U.S. government recruits both current (eg. Hyperion) and new (eg. Amphibian) super humans to carry out missions on its behalf. While some of the team’s missions are international in scope and have a “positive public relations” aspect, others are covert and apparently involve military strikes and assassinations.
