“Justice is a 12-issue limited series comic book published by DC Comics, commencing bi-monthly publication in August 2005. The title is written by Alex Ross and Jim Krueger, with art by Ross and Doug Braithwaite.
The Justice League of America confronts their enemies, (Lex Luthor, Riddler, Brainiac, Black Manta), who have combined forces. The villains are motivated by a shared a vision of the planet’s destruction, which they intend to avoid. They have banded together to defeat the League in order to divert Earth’s inhabitants from their over-reliance on the superheroes, which they believe to be the root cause of the apocalyptic events they have forseen.
Ross brings to Justice the photorealism, painted art, and the exploration of the superhero mythos which was seen in his 1996 collaboration with writer Mark Waid in DC’s limited series Kingdom Come.”
