Wildcats is the name of multiple incarnations of the Wildstorm comics superhero comic book. Creator Jim Lee previously worked on Marvel’s X-Men series, of which many people at first considered this new comic to be a copy. The Wildcats evolved and changed into a quite unique product and became one of the backbones of the Wildstorm Universe. This is partially due to Alan Moore’s involvement in the title, but mostly due to other writers taking over from Brandon Choi and Jim Lee and the fine detailing and integration of titles and characters in the Wildstorm Universe.
The first series was named WildC.A.T.s, and was about the Covert Action Team created by a group of immortal aliens stranded on Earth to fight the evil Daemonites. It was originally printed under the banner of Image Comics, in the mid 1990s. After the team disbanded a new series called Wildcats started, a much grittier feature about the characters of the previous series. The third series - Wildcats V3.0 revolved around the HALO Corporation, its CEO Jack Marlowe (formerly the individual identities Spartan & Void), Grifter and a gallery of new characters subverting corporation politics to their cause of creating a better world. This series culminated with the new team heading to Europe to fight the Coda and rescue Zealot in Coda War One.

Marvel Zombies August 23, 2006

Marvel Zombies is a Marvel Comics miniseries about an alternate version of the regular Marvel comics world in which almost all of the superheroes and supervillans have become flesh-eating zombies. The series was written by Robert Kirkman and drawn by Sean Phillips, with painted covers by Arthur Suydam. The title “Marvel Zombies” is a play on the pejorative term used for Marvel Comics fans.
The story starts actually in the Ultimate Fantastic Four storyline “Crossover” (Helleeeeoo Magneto :D):

Hunter-Killer is a series from Top Cow Productions, written by Mark Waid and penciled by Marc Silvestri for the first story arc.
During the Cold War, there were worries that a nuclear war would destroy the world. So, the US government began a project to create living super-weapons. These beings were referred to as ‘Ultra Sapiens’. But they were not living weapons. There was a breakout. Most of the Ultra Sapiens went underground, hiding their gifts. Some went back to work for the government, tracking their rogue brethren and dealing with ’situations’. But something else was created by the project, capable of tracking and neutralising any Ultra Sapiens, anywhere. No-one knows what it is, what it looks like, or where it is. However, a married couple in rural Wyoming might have some ideas, and their gifted twenty-year-old son would be very surprised at the answer…

Marvel: Civil War August 22, 2006

The series will center upon a newly enacted Super-human Registration Act, an act which splits notable superheroes within the Marvel Universe. This will result in two super-powered factions forming, and will build to the titular Civil War, into which themes from current events will be woven, although writer Mark Millar has noted “The political allegory is only for those that are politically aware. Kids are going to read it and just see a big superhero fight.
The story opens with a reckless fight between the New Warriors, filming a reality television show, and a cadre of villains in Stamford, Connecticut. The battle goes awry for the heroes, resulting in villain Nitro creating an explosion that takes out a local school, the surrounding neighborhood, and all but one of the Warriors. This event catalyzes a government movement to register all super-powered beings as living weapons of mass destruction. The event has also turned the public opinion against the superheroes as many of them are blamed for the incident. Due to, this many superheroes — most notably Johnny Storm the Human Torch — have been attacked by the public. Meanwhile, S.H.I.E.L.D. tries to recruit Captain America to become part of the team that will force superheroes to register. Captain America refuses and after being attacked by S.H.I.E.L.D., goes underground. He will thus become the figurehead of the Anti-registration movement. Iron Man, on the other hand, supports the act and tells the government to leave Captain America to him and the other Pro-registration heroes.
