Valiant Comics
Information: Published by Valiant, 1990
Part of “Nintendo Comics System.”

Description: This comic book series is set after the events of “The Legend of Zelda” and “The Adventure of Link.” Ganon is once again alive, has stolen the Triforce of Power, and still schemes to steal the other pieces of the Triforce and rule Hyrule.
A Link to the Past Comics
Information: Published: 1992 in Nintendo Power Magazine, 1993 in book form
Story and illustration: Shotaro Ishinomori
Copywriter: Dan Owsen

Description: This comic was written and illustrated by Shotaro Isinomori, one of Japan’s most famous comic book creators. It was originally serialized in Nintendo Power Magazine. The first of 12 parts appeared in January 1992 (Volume 32) and the series ran through December 1992. It was published in book form in 1993. The plot loosely follows ALttP, but some elements were added to “preserve the elements of surprise and add to the dramatic flow.”

Ocarina of Time Comic
Information: Copyright: 1998 by Nintendo of Europe GmbH and Nintendo Co. Ltd
Published in Club Nintendo OoT Special
Comic Art: Work House Co. Ltd., Tokyo

Description: This comic was published in a special edition of the European “Club Nintendo” magazine. It was published first in Germany, and then translated to Dutch and released in the Netherlands. The Dutch version was scanned and translated by Iron Knuckle. I cleaned up his English translation and inserted it into the scans, so that you can read the comic in English. I’ve also made a German/Dutch/English translation table, so you can compare the different translations for yourself. Scans of the original Dutch OoT Special will be available soon in the Publications section.

Kamigami no Triforce (ALttP) Manga

Description: This is a really neat manga made by Ataru Cagiva, the same person who made the Link’s Awakening manga. (The ALttP manga was actually made after the LA manga, not before.) It greatly expands on the story told in ALttP, and at three volumes is literally huge!
Yume o Miru Shima (LA) Manga

Description: This is a really cute two-volume manga made by Ataru Cagiva, the same person who made the ALttP manga. (The LA manga was actually made before the ALttP manga, not after.) For a manga, it is surprisingly close to the story told in the game. It still manages to expand on the LA story in a fun way.
Toki no Ocarina (OoT) Manga
Information: Copyright: 1998 Nintendo
Artist: Akira Himekawa

Description: This is the official manga for “Ocarina of Time.” Like all manga, it is black and white. The animation is very good, and the story is a very good retelling of “Ocarina of Time.” It came in two volumes. The last chapter of the second volume is the first chapter of “Majora’s Mask.” Volume 1 Part 1 - The Child Saga

Mujura no Kamen (MM) Manga

Description: This is the official manga for “Majora’s Mask,” made by the same artist who created the manga for “Ocarina of Time.” It came in one volume. The animation and story are both excellent, so this is a recommended read.
Oracle of Seasons Manga

Artist: Akira Himekawa

Description: This is the official manga for “Oracle of Seasons,” made by the same artist who created the OoT and MM manga. The manga was scanned and edited by Melora from History of Hyrule, and was translated into English by Annie from Zelda no Densetsu Manga.

Four Swords Plus Manga
Information: Copyright: 2004 Nintendo
Artist: Akira Himekawa

Description: This is the official manga for “Four Swords Plus,” made by the same artists who created the OoT, MM, and Oracle manga. This manga was translated by Mariam Dirbashi and was scanned and edited by Beno.

Enveloped in the darkness of the heart that devours, the stars fall from every corner of the heavens. Under one sky the worlds unclaimed by shadow gather, the boundaries seperating them slowly dissolve. On the island chosen by destiny, a boy finds a key. By his hand, the fate of reality shall be determined. This series is based on the game with the same name.
